Additionally, the staff that worked the breakfast bar in the morning were friendly, and professional. It was a very nervous day for me, and the staff at the Crowne helped make it better. We will definitely be staying with them again.

Location was fairly easy to find and reach. Rooms were clean and mostly well kept. Ceiling had some peeling paint that looked like it could be from water damage. The air conditioner was annoying since it would turn on and blast the room with super cold air that was uncomfortable to be in front of and then turn off(better then no AC though). The breakfast buffet was poor service. We had card for it but I would not pay for it myself. Had to wait to be seated. I could get my own food(it's a buffet after all) but had to wait for silverware. After many minutes letting food get cold I chased down an employee and asked for some which they had to go get from the back(more minutes wait). Check out was quick and painless.

The receptionist, Amber, did an exceptional job with checking my wife and I in. After having a long drive, and have to turn around and go back home for some forgotten items, we didn't get to the hotel until late. Amber was beyond nice and accommodating. When I asked her how much their breakfast was, she was kind enough to provide us with a $20 card that paid for the breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for the Solar Eclipse because of its proximity to the totality zone ( about 10 miles away). It was a lovely stay. The room was nicely appointed, the beds were very comfortable. It was exceptionally clean. The decor and design was subtle and delightful. The staff was great. It was quiet. We ended up viewing the Eclipse with the staff (rather fun). Much attention to detail. They even opened the breakfast room early and had things set up for grabs and go so people could hit the road to try and beat the masses and they had a supply of free solar glasses for people as well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was a lot of traffic noise and apparently our room was also by the ventilation system for the restaurant. Other than that, I would happily stay there again.

I only stayed for a single night and the only ammenity I used was the pool. It's indoor and outdoor separated by a partial wall. The deepest part is 5ft, and it's not the largest, but it still felt really pleasant. The room was nice with a refrigerator, couch, and the bathroom had full length glass sliding doors giving it a spacious feel. The bathroom did not have a fan The only oddity about our room was around 5:30 in the morning, our room smelled like bacon. We were on the second floor and I'm assuming right above the kitchen where breakfast was being prepared for early morning guests. There is no continental breakfast here.

I booked a three day stay for this weekend, and needed to modify my reservation for tonight. I called in to the hotel, and was transferred to the reservation line 3 times. The first time I was transferred, I spoke with a gentleman who could not even find my reservation. Then my co-party called in and spoke with a woman who found the reservation, but notified her that two guests were walking in, and she would need to wait on hold for her to help them before she would assist her. I called back in later and spoke with a woman, who after she pulled up my name, recommended that I keep my reservation for tonight and pay the $165+ taxes so I could do an early check in on Friday. I told her I was not going to pay $165+ taxes to have an early check-in, that I would figure something else out until the normal check in time. She proceeded to just hang up on me!! I called back in and was transferred to the reservation line again. This time I got the same gentleman who could not find me the first time. Once again he could not find my reservation, and I asked to speak with the woman I had just spoken to. He said no that she wasn't next to him and even if she was she would be helping someone else and not me. He then hung up on me after I told him that this is the second time that he was unable to find my reservation. I called back into the hotel, and this time I asked for a manager, the gal I spoke with was very kind and was able to edit my reservation for what I was needing. Very disappointed in the initial customer service I received from this hotel. I have attended many conferences for State Farm at the Crown Plaza in Anchorage, Alaska and have never had an issue. If I was not staying at this hotel for a wedding party I would be cancelling my reservation all together.
