They provide excellent customer service from beginning to end with friendly and courteous reception staff either by phone or in person. They are thorough in their collection of patient histories, and always provide diligent examinations. Their veterinarians are well educated both in the medical disciplines, well trained in the alternative holistic field, and experienced with a myriad of treatment philosophies and methodologies. Once you inform them of your life circumstances, I sincerely appreciate every effort they make to cooperatively work with you to accomodate work restrictions, time constraints, and financial abilities. I would like to thank Drs. Emily Stewart and Sandy S. for their superior service and attentiveness treating my pets. I love their efforts going the extra mile to learn about current veterinary studies and long term research regarding novel medications and treatment dogma.
They provide boarding and kennel services to provide peace of mind for your vacations or work travels. In addition, they even keep your hamsters and guinea pigs healthy and safe! Their veterinarians provide livestock consultations, but that may be on a case by case basis.
My coworker recommended Full Circle Veterinary Care to me since she had been a long time customer and patient. Since I trusted my co-worker's judgement, I decided to try them out with my pets.
Regrettably, they have a 100% mark-up on supplements as reflected on attached photos. Full Circle charged $44.50 for Potassium Citrate which Amazon sells identical product/amount for $19.90. Called to confirm the amount charged was correct prior to leaving this review. They stand by the markup indicating I paid this amount before on two separate occasions and the price had not increased since that time. Unfortunately, this does not justify their markup. Further, on those two occasions, I had no idea they were marking their supplements up by double the Amazon price for the identical product. I was also disappointed after dropping of my pet's urine for lab work. When I called for the results, they refused to have a vet speak with me regarding the findings unless I paid for their time. I support markups for profit; but, double the cost for supplements, for me, is unacceptable and greedy. Also holding urine results hostage for profit seems inappropriate. My regular vet (who is not local which is why I took the urine here) consults on these issues for free. Full Circle had examined my dog before and administered vaccinations for this pet. Therefore, they were familiar with the dog and could have opined on the findings without charge. It would have been a brief call. I opted to have the results emailed to me and my vet. My regular vet called me and gave me a quick consult for free. I am not interested in being nickled and dimed when it comes to my pet. Clients are vulnerable when it comes to the costs associated with pet care. Just be mindful of these business practices if you elect to go here
I used to take my fancy rats there, and I never once had a good experience. The veterinarian who was supposed to know a lot about rats turned out to know nothing and misdiagnosed my rat. And instead of realizing that they were overweight, she told me they were just jumbo rats. In reality, they need to lose weight. When I went to another vet, I found out she was wrong about everything. Their front desk workers are always unorganized and take much longer than necessary to get things done, making even checking in and checking out a pain. Lastly, they kept sending me reminders to bring my rat in for a checkup years after he passed away. Overall, I was very unhappy with this business and do not recommend them.
If you love your pets as much as I do mine, you will not be disappointed bringing your beloved pets and your business to Full Circle Veterinary Care! Sure, there are other lower cost veternary clinics out there, but Full Circle is the greatest value for your dollar in Portland.
By far the very best experience I have ever had with a Veterinary location ever -- with all staff I have met, not just one or the other. Very knowledgeable doctors for ferrets (those are sadly hard to find) and they all seem to care much more about your pet's health and helping you/them than I have seen in a long, long time. Despite losing one of my ferrets recently, they helped me through every step of the way and even remained late after work once just to help -- and was willing to correspond regularly through emails (something much more convenient for my lifestyle). Vet expenses are expensive just like human expenses, but this clinic doesn't make me feel that it's about the money, they are there because they care -- and I am quite jealous I don't have a doctor's office with this much care. I would (and have) recommended them to everyone I know in need of a vet. I have moved a good 40-60 minutes away from their location and I still intend to return to them for my other pets. They have been wonderful with my cat, but if you're in search of a ferret doctor you can stop looking.
Full Circle Veterinary Care was close and easy to find. Their office was neat clean and professional looking. Their staff was all very professional. And most important they seemed very personal with us and our pet rat. I didn't feel rushed nor did I feel like they just wanted to get on with the next patient. The visit was thorough and educational and I feel our pet got exactly the care he needed. We even got some preventative skin mite care that was beneficial to BOTH our rats. Our rat is now better after a small respiratory problem and we will for sure go back! The only negative thing I can say is that I'd like to see the follow up appointments cost less not the full amount. I would very much recommend this vet to anyone who lives near down town Lake Oswego however we came from Sherwood and I felt it was still worth it!
